I originally wasn't going to buy it as I have enough highlighters in my collection but when I was in Sephora inside Penny's I saw it on display so out of curiosity I swatched it. That sucker came home with me. I've girls much darker than me wearing it and on their skin tone it translated ashy in my opinion but on me...it looks like melted highlighter. Its hard to explain...hmmm...my cheek bones look wet but in a good way. Not oil slick or glitter bomb. And a little product goes a long, long way... this is one you don't want to go heavy handed on. As far as skin type...I have oily skin but my cheekbone area is more on the dry side so I'm fine in that regard. I'm glad I saw and snagged one for myself. I'm very happy with it.

Oh snap! You wanted deets on champagne gold. Sorry about my book length on champagne pop. I did have champagne gold for about a month after trying to make it work. It has an intense yellow base to it and no matter what brush I used with it made my cheekbones look like a circus act. As a blush topper its perfect...especially if wanting to brighten up a matte flat shade but as far a highlighter I was not impressed. NARS Albatross has a slight golden yellow undertone to it and is far more universally flattering on all skintones. Still requires a light hand but it doesn't scream yellow.
