So I have this TERRIBLE biting my nails habit and I truly need to stop because it's getting pretty bad. I just need help deciding what kind will last me longer and which ones are stronger. Gel or acrylic ooorr?

Hey! Take it from me, I was a chronic nail biter, and I got gels acrylics and I tried everything but I just started to bite the skin around my nails and it turned out worse. So here's what I did. Pick a finger. Pinky finger index finger whatever on one hand only and make it off limits. You can't bite the others but not that one. Do this for 3 days and then add another finger! It will take a while but it will last in breaking the habit. Good luck and keep going!

Acrylic might be better but what she said ^^ would probably help a lot better than fake/nail polish because both are strong but you will eventually bite through it

I wouldn't get acrylics because it starts to ruin your nail bed. I've gotten acrylics for a long time and I still bite my nails. I don't know how to stop either but I know acrylics just make it worse.

Okay, I broke my habit however whenever one of my nails break when I do manage to grow them long I'm back at square one and relapse into biting them all off, my advice to you would be to try and take care of your nails the best you can, I liked to moisturise my hands with something that was made for cuticles also. I'd paint mine pretty frequently because I get bored of one colour but I found that keeping them painted and looking nice was the only way I could stop wanting to bite them. I used the Sally Hansen growth polish and it worked for me pretty quickly within about a week to noticeably see a difference.
