I think this depends a ton on the person.

Personally, I use the Koh Gen Do Cleansing Wipes, which are incredibly easy to use and they're wonderful. They're great for my incredibly sensitive eyes (any sort of oils or anything near my eyes give me pinkeye every time, as does Bioderma which makes me so sad, so I only use Bioderma on my lips when I wear lipsticks), they don't burn or feel harsh, and I don't have to rub like crazy to get my shadow off.

I was kind of wondering if I should use a wipe first and then a cleanser after that.

In terms of cleaning your skin, absolutely. Wipes will remove a lot of makeup, but they do nothing for dirt and do not actually clean your skin. You should definitely use a cleanser after you remove your makeup to really clean your face and help keep your skin clear and healthy.

I always double cleanse. I switch my second cleanser quite often, I'm always trying new products as an esthetician for research but one product that I'm absolutely in love with and haven't taken out of my skincare routine is the dermalogica precleanse. It's a hydrophilic formula that gets rid of sebum, dirt, environmental pollutants, & any makeup I have on. it has apricot, olive & kukui oils as well as vitamin e oils which make it safe to use around the eye area. I absolutely love the way it feels on my skin and helps my cleanser further penetrate into my skin.

It's definitely up to your skin. I use a makeup wife on my face only to get the majority of the makeup off. I then use philosophy one step cleanser for my eyes because it's the only thing that doesn't irritate them. I cannot use cloths or cotton on my lids at all
