I been thinking of getting eyelashes extensions on , and would like to know the experience y'all have had with them. Like how long do they last? Are they worth it? Do they come off easy since we wear makeup??

I had this obsession with super long eyelashes last year, I used to just curl and apply mascara but I got bored of that and they didn't look as intense as I wanted them. I wasn't that experiences with false lashes back then and I guess I had the belief that they were flimsy and would come of in the middle of me walking or something hahahah and plus I wanted them to look more natural. So I went and got eyelash extension. There's like different styles you can get, varying in size, shape and also how many they actually put on. I got the most natural one and I must say it was cool having long eye lashes. However I prefer my eyelashes to be curled and the extensions had a natural curl to them but not as intense as I wanted it + you can't use eyelash curlers on lash extensions. Over all I wasn't a massive fan, I didn't get the look I wanted and I think I got them removed within a week. It left me with really sparse eyelashes in the end too so I was like worse off than I started. I suggest a product like rapidlash, I started using it and I totally prefer that over the extensions. Extensions also aren't that comfortable, I couldn't rub my eyes ): and it takes long to remove eye makeup. Now I know how to use false lashes and there are HEAPS of different styles from super natural to if you want something more dramatic.

It depends on where you get them done and what type of glue they are using as to how long they last, typically though anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks, some glues hold better than others. They do tend to have a bit of a different look than mascara or strip lashes but I prefer them over both of those. I've mostly had good experiences with them but whoever does them make sure they are done so that each lash is separate and not glued together. The only bad experiences I've had is with technicians who are not trained properly. As the previous post said yes you can't rub your eyes so it is a bit of an adjustment but once you get used to it, it's not even an issue, though you should not be able to feel them while they are on, if you feel them they are not done properly! Do your research on salons and make sure you see pictures, if they have an instagram make sure to check that out and ask lots of questions!! And I've never had a problem with wearing makeup with them, I found I tend to wear a little less makeup with them since the ones I get are so dramatic I find I don't need as much!
