So... I was wondering which is better, Laura Mercier secret brightening powder or Laura Mercier translucent powder? I would be using it to set my under eye concealer.

I have the Secret Brightening Powder and I find that if I apply too much or use the wrong brush I look a hot mess. It does a great job at setting concealer. A fan brush is the best application method and a very light hand.

The Brightening Powder is made SPECIFICALLY for under the eyes. The Translucent Powder is an all-over face powder than can be used under the eyes. I prefer the Brightening Powder and have been using for over 10 years. I actually have shade 2 (a yellow tone) instead of the original shade 1 (white tone). Some say the translucent powder is only slightly different than the brightening powder. And if you don't notice a difference, than the translucent powder would be a better buy because of the amount of product in the translucent container.

I really like the translucent powder. I bake my under eyes with it and it really erases my under eye bags and brightens my dark circles very much. It's definitely a stable in my make up bag
