I had so much fun doing my makeup yesterday for Halloween that it inspired me to push myself with my makeup looks from now on. To begin, I will be wearing a different makeup look everyday of the month. I want to experiment with different techniques and colors. Please help me with comments about tips to do better or suggestions on what I should try next. Join me if you want and create your own masterpieces this month!

Today I decided to try out a new eyeliner look. I use nyx gel eyeliner to create an Arab eye. To do this, I used an eyeliner brush and extended my eyeliner into my waterline. I connected it with my bottom lash line and winged out into a slight cat eye. I used my 52 color elf pallet for the eye shadow. The base color is a light pink, almost white shimmer color. I topped it with a slightly darker pink on the kids and a shimmery bronze gold in the crease. On my lashes, I used my Almay mascara in black and my santee mascara, also in black. Because my eyes were the focal point, I didn't do much else to my face. I ditched the blush and swiped on my elf high shine lip gloss in "nice and natural". I used a little coconut oil underneath the gloss to create a smooth and moisturizer surface.

Close up on my eye makeup.

Personally I would've made the wing more dramatic and lined the waterline with black as well but I can definitely see what you were going for!

For some future looks I definitely suggest a smokey eye (brown tones are perfect for daytime if you're not comfortable with a full black smokey eye for the day) and looks with pops of color on the lower lash line or the lid (:

Okay! I'm planning on doing a smokey look on Wednesday. It seems a bit intimidating because I can never get it right. Any YouTube videos or personal advice about that?

For the smokey just place black or a dark color all over your lid / then in the crease put a lighter transition color (like for black a brown is usually good) then blend the colors together - upwards so it transitions from dark to light - easy :)

Its very nice, especially with your pretty eyes. I love the brows too. I agree on the eyeliner, I would make it thicker and longer at the end to make it a real cateye, I would also add a matte brow transition color to the crease. This isn't an Arab eye though.
