Mermaid Costume Help 🎃

Hey so I want to be a mermaid for Halloween & was wondering if you guys have seen any good costume ideas, preferably DIY. And I don't really want to wear a bra top 🙈 so anything other than that. I have the makeup down, but am really struggling with the outfit. Thanks!

I was a Mermaid last year as a last minute costume, but I wore black snake skin scale leggings that I already had (I believe mine were from garage or something like that) and a shirt that matched the color of my makeup. I believe it was purple with lace and was flowy. You could do a bra top but put lace or another type of pretty decrotive fabric from the bra down. You could also just do a Mermaid tail skirt or dress, where it's tight near the knees and ankles, but depending on what you're doing it might not be practical for like dancing or anything.

Thank you ladies! I'll try the leggings and if I can't find that then just a green skirt.
Sara- I actually saw that and loved it but I'm sure all she did was stand around and pose all night; I love to dance💃🏾
