Information about perms

I kinda wanna get a perm but I'm apprehensive because I have curly hair but it's not as curly as I want it and I can't curl my hair to save my life and the rods never really work and they tend to hurt my head when I use them.

does anyone have a perm or had one?

I have never had a perm but I know from a friend that they are NOT good. She had a perm and I really really damaged her hair.

I had a perm.
It's damaging, but with proper treatment it's only slight
Since your hair is already slightly curly, the curly perm will last a long time (thats what happened to me) so its definitely worth it
Make sure your hairdresser is someone reputable too
I love my hair perm since I don't have to spend so much time in the morning to tame it :)

Perms are nothing but a chemical box and all that goes to your head. I wouldn't trust it.
