A friend has asked me to help her with some sugar skull make up for Halloween. She would like to incorporate some blue tones lashes and stick on diamonds. And tips or advice would be great. I have never done this makeup before and don't want to disappoint her.

Don't let it intimidate you. they are so fun to do and once you get into it your creative juices start to flow. just have fun, use pictures for reference, and its makeup so you can easily fix mistakes. lash glue is awesome for jewels.

It's so fun you can experiment with so many things. here's what I did last year. the phone isnt picking it up. but I also dusted pink and blue on my cheeks. I looked at a bunch of pictures and incorporated what I liked.

I looked at a couple pictures and the things that seem pretty consistent with this kind of look is stitched lips, dark nose, and an oval/circle patch around the eye (s). So make sure you include those, then you could do anything for the forehead and cheekbones, as the designs for those are what varies from look to look
Good luck, this seems like a lot of fun ❤️

Watch a few tutorials on YouTube, as usually they'll throw in good tips here and there. Also look through pictures with her to find aspects of sugar skulls that she wants to incorporate into her own little look! As for the gems, apply them afterwards, and use a q tip soaked in alcohol to remove any oils from makeup in the remote places you'd like to apply them, then use a clear lash glue to apply the gems! This will help them stay on longer :)

We combined a few palates to get the colours right and used loreal liquid liner. The hardest part was getting her face white and even because we just used face paint.
