Felt tip is good for practice. I use loreal felt tips to practice but liquid just is 100% better. It's more defined and more darker than felt tip. It gives a good finish.

Personally I feel that felt tips dry out to quickly, liquids just don't work on my eye shape as it transfers due to my deep set lids, therefore gels are my favorites.

I like felt tip better. I use the NYC skinny liner, but it fades after a few hours & needs to be reapplied. Felt tip liners usually get dried up quickly though, which is the only downside.

The Eyeko liners are lovely, but a little on the pricey side. A really good felt tip liner is the Rimmel Scandaleyes liner, it gives such a clean, black line.
