Hi everyone! I'm trying to give my nails a break by not using polish and, honestly, I'm just too lazy to paint them.
I'm just not sure how to keep them short, neat and healthy.
They're currently growing at a rapid pace and I tend to get some hangnails which is annoying and painful if they ride down.
Do I need to trim my cuticles or does that make it worse? I would like to have a low maintenance routine without using polish.
Thank you for all your suggestions!
Xx

So, I trim my cuticles. There are a lot of opinions on whether or not that's a good thing, but I get hangnails and ragged cuticles if I don't cut them, so I do.
I use the tweezerman cuticle trimmer thingies, cause they work the best.
Another thing that's super important for keeping your nails in shape and making sure your cuticles don't look like hell is moisturizing. I use the RMS lip/skin balm on my cuticles and over my nails, and then I use a hand cream over top to seal it into my nails. I do this a million times a day, whenever I'm thinking about it. If I'm at home I'll use the RMS Coconut Cream as basically a hand cream and then use another cream over top. Basically, use an oil and then use something with a high amount of occlusives in it to seal the oil in. Works like a charm =)

Sounds great! Thank you so much, I'll be sure to do that! :) I just literally do nothing to my nails besides cutting them and it shows haha :)

I agree with Hannah. I personally trim my cuticles because when I don't, they start looking crazy and when they're dry, they look awful. Other than that, I suggest a good hand cream and work it into your nails and cuticles especially at night. I stopped wearing polish too for a while and I had to file every few days to make sure they don't break.
