But if you want my honest opinion, those types of highlights are awful... I hate when it doesn't look blended and like stripes, its kinda tacky in my opinion. :/

I honestly don't like this type of highlights but I'm sure you can pull them off and if you like them, that's all that matters! Hair cut is definitely a yes for me. Go for it! I'm just hoping the shade of highlights you end up with is flattering to your skin tone- don't copy this girl's color exactly, it will look great if it's tailored to your skin :) (this last part has nothing to do with the type of highlights which is completely up to you).
