I can't seem to find the right lip color for myself. I go for lighter nude colors more but every time I try to wear lipstick my lips don't look smooth. And I have tried lip scrubs but I don't know what else to do??

I'm a lip balm hoarder as well. My personal favorite is the Nuxe Reve de Miel because I adore the texture and appreciate the fact that it is petroleum free. When you use a lip balm, use one that has a lot of oils and such, and then apply an occlusive (like Vaseline) on top to seal in the moisture. Anything that contains Vaseline or petrolatum as one of the main ingredients won't help your lips as much as something that has a lot of hydrating ingredients which you can then layer under Vaseline or another type of sealant.

Try this! First put any type of balm (I use baby lips dr rescue) Grab your tooth brush and get it wet. Apply sugar to your lip and you brush your lips they end up looking super soft and smooth! And then just apply lipstick! It really works for me.

What paulina said works, I either just wet my toothbrush and scrub gently on my lips and wash it off then put some lip balm. or I make a coconut oil sugar scrub where you just mix the both ingredients and rub it on your lips with your finger tip then rinse it off put some lip balm and your lips will be so soft plumped a little bit with some color to them?

With the coconut oil sugar scrub you can use it on your whole body including your face to exfoliate just make sure you soap up and rinse after!:)

I like to use a lip exfoliator. I made mine with sugar and olive oil. It helps remove all the dead skin and leaves my lips really hydrated and smooth. Then I like to apply blistex medicated balm because it's very moisturizing and feels great on the lips. Then I top it off with Vaseline as a sealant 😊

I use Lush Lip Scrub about two to three times a week. During the day I apply Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment before I start my makeup and apply lipstick last. I keep the Fresh Lip balm in my purse cause it has SPF. At night before bed I apply Carmex Original Lip Balm. I know it sounds crazy to apply it before sleeping but it works. It's part of my skincare regimen and my lips are soft and smooth when I wake up. I apply Carmex in the morning as I'm getting ready also, before I get in the shower. Don't forget to drink loads of water.

I use a lip scrub at night and then apply Bite Beauty Agave lip mask (the best lip mask ever!!) and then apply Jack Black Intense lip therapy while I do my makeup. And right before I apply lipstick I pat off the balm with the back of my hand and then apply MAC lip primer! This works great for me!

I also apply lip balm before right before bed. You're not talking or eating so it stays on longer, giving it time to soak in and moisturize. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water as well. I used to have difficulty with dry lips and that helped immensely.
