Hello! I have curly hair and usually all I do is wash it and then let it air dry. My hair is really dry and the curls are either crazy or falling out. What is your curly hair routine? What do you use and why? Thank you!!

When I say "falling out" I do not mean my hair is falling out. I mean the curls don't stay for the whole day sometimes by the end of the day my hair will become wavy/curly.

Since you have waves/loose curls you don't want to weigh them down...I suggest a good curl enhancing leave in (carols daughter black vanilla) and using a diffuser and scrunching.

I do this twice a week btw. the other days I just wet my hair and skip shampooing, conditioning and the mask. first I put some coconut oil in my hair and leave it for like half an hour. then I wash my hair with tresseme keratin smooth shampoo and conditioner (this has been a life saver for me) then I use herbal essences honey I'm strong mask while I'm still on the shower and leave it in for a few minutes before rinsing my hair out with cold water. after that I hop out and squeeze my hair out with my hands to get rid of excess water. don't use a towel to dry it! then I put in a moisturizing leave in conditioner (it changes all the time I just buy what's on special) then I put some anti friz oil in and use this curl creme (I can't spell it so I'll add a pixture) and then plop my hair with a tshirt. I'll also link you to a youtube video for this. I leave my hair 'plopped' while I get dresses and then take it out because it makes my hair frizzy of I leave my hair up for too long. once I take it out of the shirt I twist random sections around my fingers until I've done most of my hair and then let it air dry :)

Coconut oil is what I use on my kids curly hair as a leave in conditioner while hair is still damp.

Check out the book Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey. She explains how curly hair is different than straight hair and how it requires different kinds of products. For optimum results, the drying process can seem complicated, but I simplify the process and settle for fewer curls. My hair never frizzes!
