Custom Cover Drops changing colours?

I bought the custom cover drops and I like them so far- but today I tried it with my regular moisturizer and it completely changed colours? The moisturizer is completely clear, but when I mixed the drops in, it went like two shades darker and more orangey? It didn't do this with the other things I mixed it with, only this one. Did this happen with anyone else and are there rules for what I can and can't mix it with? I'll insert a picture so you can see it better.

I'm still using up a sample of these I got last week, and yesterday when I mixed them my serum (also clear) this same thing happened - BUT when I blended it into my skin, the color was fine, same as always. It was extremely weird.
