Candice I want to aim for a more natural look. Like an everyday look. Something that makes my face look more structured and even toned. I want to also work with some type of highlight because I've seen lots of makeup artist do great highlights on the cheek bones and nose. Possibly good makeup that a lot of people won't even be able to tell I'm wearing it!(:

There's are some male youtubers that focus on male makeup, that's a good place to start! If you're wanting it to just be skin focused, start with a basic skincare routine: cleanser, toner, moisturizer. Add in a serum and/or weekly mask once you have that down. Remember to shop for your skin type! After that, pick up some primer (this step is optional, but it can really help if you're just starting), foundation, concealer, and setting powder. If you're wanting to get into light contouring/highlighting, the form depends on your base. If you have a cream/liquid base, it'll be easier to blend cream contour/highlight, and same with powder base and powder contour/highlight. Personally, I use a liquid base BUT I use setting powder on my whole face (oily skin) so I find powders blend easier. Good luck!

I agree with the ladies above. As Kailey said makeup application really begins after a good skin care regime. I agree with Candice in pinpointing problem areas. Using a corrector to only spot correct rather than doing one large section of the face will look most natural. Something light weight such as a cc cream will also help color correct any problem areas and even out the skin tone, or a lightweight foundation such as face 'n body (depending on your skin type). I also second mac's fix + which will melt product into the skin for a more natural appearance, however it does leave a dewy finish so if you are oily you may dislike this product.
Another thing to keep in mind is application itself. Using a higher quality brush will help if it's used properly. It also reduces cost. With sponges they must be discarded every two weeks due to bacteria. When applying start with less than you might think you need and then pin point the problem areas with concealer. Don't go overboard with concealer literally use a small smudger brush to place product directly on top of the problem area them use a fluffier brush to blend it out. This is a tedious method however when done this way it gives the most natural look. In regards to highlight and contour it will really depend on your skin texture. If you have a lot of bumps or scars from acne etc.you will probably prefer cream products, however if you have smooth skin you might like powder products.
As Kailey stated above there are some good male mua on youtube just keep in mind to take what is said with a grain of salt. There are great youtubers that have been in the industry for years but also youtubers that have no idea what they're teaching and may give incorrect advice.

Find any foundation that will match your skin. Then you should use MMUK MAN UNDER EYE CONCEALER. It depends if you want it to be noticeable or natural, like maybe a transgender style or just a touch up.

And contouring will be great to structure your face, but practice at least 7/8 times with cheap products and then once you have perfected it, get MAC with a good beauty blender.
