Hey all! So I've been having some major trouble with my cuticles lately. I've been getting a lot of hangnails and then they tear off leaving my fingers a mess. I've also gotten into the habit of picking at my cuticles when I'm nervous which I know is horrible and I'm trying to stop. Anyway, I'm trying to get my cuticles to heal and I've tried cuticle oil and it doesn't help as much as I need it too. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks lovelies!

Cuticle oil is very thin and not very moisturizing. Try cuticle cream instead (Burt's Bees makes a great one) or DIY it with Shea butter and calming chamomile and lavender. <3.

I use a cuticle oil from Sally Hansen which I also found really thin but added garlic to it. I read somewhere online that garlic is supposed to be strengthening for your nails so I thought I'd give it a go for myself.. So far so good to say the least. It doesn't make your nails smell or anything of that sort, it's slightly messy in the oil but I've noticed my nails are actually growing 'thicker' rather than thin as they normally would. Thicker nails means less breakage for me!
