How to: tumblr hair?

So I really like the look of "tumblr hair" really loose waves and curls. I want to start trying it out. I have long and thick hair, so I have a few questions
-what's the easiest way to get the look?
- what can I do to make them stay all day?

It looks like reeally loosely braided hair, try to take a shower so your hair's wet, then overnight have a really loose braid on each side of your hair& in the morning it should look similar to this :)

Also mousse in your hair before you braid it should help!

By each side of your hair I mean like pigtails if that makes sense haha.
