I really want to get a grey ombre hair colour but I don't really know how to do it. can you help me out? what products should I use? How would I keep the colour?

for reference, my current hair colour is a dark red

I would highly suggest going to a professional rather than doing it yourself. It'll probably be a long process that you won't be able to do in one go.
