Is heel height the main reason a pair of shoes comfortable or uncomfortable? What's your opinion?

Not necessarily.. for me I think it's a personal preference.. for example if my heel height is 5 in with good support such as a thick strap or plain open toes or wedge that would be (for me) comfortable but on the other hand if heel height is 5 in and with like 2 straps only would be very uncomfortable for me.. basically in my opinion it really depends on support.
And also experience.. I've worked as an administrative assistant for years so walking and wearing heels is a piece of cake for me.

I think its more the thickness of the heel that makes it more comfortable to walk with.

Hey M G I agree I can wear a thicker 5" without a platform no problem.

For me it's the heel height, the shoe must be narrow enough and long enough, and have enough height at the toes because my nails point upward. Almost impossible for me to buy girl shoes that fit in my country.

I have heels that none of my friends can walk in but for me they're super comfortable. So it's personal preference.

For me it is the shape of the shoe around the toes, the quality of the edges (because most brands give me blisters) and the heels' thickness at the point, like what makes it easier to walk is having the biggest area possible in contact with the floor. I can have short but thin heels be harder to walk than tall but thick ones.
