A few different things you can do as far as shapes go are the oval shape, square shape, etc. You can also do stripes, polka dots as Sara suggested, you can do something using the edge of the nail. An example would be putting white at the tip and then three white circles on top to make a snowman. You can do most things that bigger nails can do, just modified by using smaller tools, smaller strokes, etc.
