So I have melasma and meant to put sunscreen regularly but what if I'm wearing foundation it will rub the foundation off.

You should wear a moisturiser with spf and see if you can find a foundation with spf! I always wear my IT cosmetics CC cream when I know I'm going to be out in the sun - it has spf 50!

No it won't if you just pat it on lightly or use some kind of spray or powder with SPF - you could also opt for a foundation with SPF built in and use that to reapply

I use the Neutrogena face sunscreen that is meant to not break your skin out and I just put that over my serum and under my primer and have no issues:)

I like Guerlain's foundation specifically the lingerie de peau it has great coverage and lots of SPF!

Supergoop makes a yummy Rosemary setting spray with spf. You can spray throughout the day without damaging your makeup!
