Are sulfates really bad for your hair?

Yes. Sulfates are what strip your hair of its natural oils. If you have dry hair, sulfates will make it drier. If you have oily hair, sulfates will make your scalp freak out and produce more oils. I recommend sulfate-free products to pretty much everyone I know.

Yes! Especially if your hair is processed. I have bleached hair and shampoos with sulfate a dry out my hair so much! It would be like straw and I'd have to depend on deep conditioner plus leave in conditioner. It also made my scalp so dry and itchy.
