My skin is fairly dry, and sometimes my make up still feels tacky and I want to set it but don't want my make up to look cakey. Any suggestions?

Maybe try a setting spray instead of a powder

I would suggest a fixative spray which actually adhears the makeup in place, as opposed to a setting spray which just covers your skin in a thin gel like coating to remove the powdery look you can sometimes get after applying setting powder/blush/bronzer/etc.

if you wanna try a setting powder tho, I really liked NARS translucent setting powder in the loose form. I have fairly dry skin on my nose & it never made my foundation look cakey. apply with a fan brush so you arent using too much powder, which could definitely give you a cakey look.

I would suggest something that has silica in it, a good amount of it too. I find silica gives a nice appearance. It's matte at first but becomes semi-matte/slightly dewy but not actually dewy.
It definitely tones down any cakiness and makes the skin look and feel so smooth and perfect.

I think the CoverFx illuminating setting powder would be good!
It's a setting powder but doesn't mattify/ dry out the skin

Be careful with Silica though. If too much it has a bad flashback when taking pictures with flash.
