Hi everyone, I am attempting to go chemical free (well at least the known harmful chemicals) in my beauty products. I've made some switches to Jane iredale products and 5-free nail polishes but was curious if anyone has and good recommendations for clean makeup products of all kinds, especially mascara. Thank you!

I'm sure you know that nothing on this earth is chemical free (including you and me) but in terms of known harmful chemicals - that is also subjective as some things are not harmful to everyone - in any case the more "natural" brands that I like are alba botanica, the yes to lines, juice beauty and few brands that don't claim to be natural but are made for sensitive skin types are Clinique, tarte, coverFX, Estée Lauder - and the chemicals in those brands have not irritated my sensitive skin personally - otherwise what chemicals specifically are you trying to avoid?

I'm not sure if this is completely chemical free and you may have to look into it a bit but physicians formula has an organic wear line and they do have mascara in that line which I've used and love.

I noticed that calc and chlorine from the water make a lot of damage in my hair and skin. I also changed to sulfate free shampoo, it's an easy step and bought a water filter. That's what I can recommend.

Www.purebodysolutions.com - that's where I go for the most purity.

Download the think dirty app! It will tell you how bad the products you are using really are and why.

For lipsticks/lip products I recommend Bite Beauty. I read somewhere that we ingest 75% of the lipstick that we apply and most lip products are made from ingredients not meant to be ingested! Bite Beauty products are made from ingredients that are considered edible.
