I really like ole henrickson vitamin c serum. It has improved my overall tone and my skin looks clearer. A little goes a long way, it's easy to use too much.

I also like Algentist Genius serc, the one in a greenish tube. That worked really well for me but the smell was a deal breaker. I didn't repurchase because of the fragrance.

Another option that is drugstore that I have really been like is CeraVe skin renewing serum cream. I don't think it has vit c but does have retinol. I have combo with occasional dry patches and this has cleared them up. I haven't gotten any yet since from using it. I think this could be used alone if you have oily skin but I layer cerave cream on it for night time.

As far as anti aging serum I like the Retinol Serum from Sally's Beauty Supply. There's a brand there that has a serum in a dropper type of packaging and it's only like $10
I noticed that my hyper pigmentation from passed blemishes would go away sooner than usual and my skin just looked more glowy.
I used about three bottles before using prescription retinal gel
