I'm thinking about getting both ears pierced all the way up. I don't plan on wearing them all at the same time just different combinations everyday. Any thoughts?

Just know that cartilage piercings take a while to heal (about 6 months) and they'll be uncomfortable to sleep on while they heal
And it can be expensive depending on where you go (my cartilage piercings were $50 each)
Piercings shouldn't be something you randomly do one day, those holes will be in your ear forever, and you have to take good care of them
Also, do your research first and make sure you go to a good place (and please do not get pierced with a gun, they are terrible)

And you can't change the earring for 6 months

Thks I have three in each lobe at the moment but I'd like to do the rest.

How many are in your ears?
Aug 29, 2015
Qwaserght T.
I have 2 in each earlobe, a helix in one ear, a tragus in the other, and I'm getting a forward helix in one of my ears soon
And I also have my nose pierced but that's not in my ears haha

Very cool I've got my septum and three in each lobe.

I love septums, but my mom won't let me get one :(
Well good luck on your other piercings :)

Oh thks my septum is my fav. So you think I should pierce my whole ear but just wear it full all the time?
Aug 29, 2015
Qwaserght T.
Yeah, because depending on the person (my piercings grow in really fast) the hole can grown in after only a couple hours
And I'd also recommend only getting a couple done at a time so your ear isn't super sore and so you're not spending a ton of money all at once

But you can also talk to your piercer about the best game plan for you
Like, how many you should get at a time and how long to wait before getting more

Not sure how quickly mine would close up? I'm thinking doing one side at a time? Also can you answer my heels question lol.
Aug 29, 2015
Qwaserght T.
There's no way to really tell how fast it will close for you unfortunately. The only way would be to take it out but then you'd risk needing to get it re pierced
And if you do one side at a time just know you will not be able to sleep on that side so wait until that ear is completely healed before you do the other side
And yeah I can answer your heel question haha

You have to get them in separate sessions, obviously. and expect some pretty bad pain, because peircings where cartilage is take months to feel okay. and sleeping can be a little hard. but I think once the pain dies down, it'll look awesome!

I wouldn't recommend piercing your own cartilage, there are nerves inside that can do a lot of facial damage if not done correctly.

Hey guys quick update added three in my left ear at a piercing salon. Pain was minimal and now it's some wine to keep me feeling good.

Cartilage peircings are great but they can take up to a year to heal and they get caught in your hair and it is extremely uncomfortable to sleep on that side. You also have to clean it twice a day for the time it takes to heal. But they look so good! As Long as you are prepared I say go for it!
