Have you tried looking for Pravana's Chromasilk dye? I think it will turn that color. I'm unsure. Also, look up Michael James on YouTube. He lives out in the UK and has such silver white hair. I'm so jealous of him! But he lists the items you can use at home to get a very pale, almost white blonde. :) I hope it helps. But I'm really loving the color you chose for your hair!

Oh man. It sucks when you can't get those products needed. /: have you tried buying a tub of Directions? They have a conditioning toner. I think its like €5 out there. I wish I could get it but things from the uk are so costly. (thats what happens when you live in the US) haha but I'm sure your hair will turn out. Look on google to see how Pravana works in blonde hair cause someone did a review and said that it turned a silvery grey like the photo you have here. I'm sure there are other products you can use to achieve that color. Like they say, not everyones hair will react the same right off the back to get it a certain color. Since my hair is nearly black, its harf to bleach mine. I use 50 vol with quick white cause I'm trying to turn my hair white. Such a pain /: your salon should be able to help you achieve that color. I've never been to one cause out here in California, I heard so many bad things. Like they turned a brunette hair woman to orange hair from bleach. They claimed it happens but I've been doing my own hair and its never turned orange. Even if I use a lower vol like 10 my hair has never turned orange. And my friends mom is a professional as well. She does her sons hair. One time she bleached his hair to add a nice shade of red, she ended up turning his hair pink. I asked how she did it. He said he didn't know. So I've been flipping out about going to a salon. I don't even get my haircut there either. I cut my own hair or allow my mim to cut it. Haha :) but like I said, look Michael up and buy Directions white toner since it has conditioners in it. Apply it in and leave it for 30 mins. Be sure to deep condition your hair too. I do once a week with olive oil conditioner :)

Ok thanks il look it up :) yea my hair turnes orange wen I bleached it even tho my hair was naturall very blonde but it was kinda brown coz I had it dip died! I went to the salon last month and showed tht pic ^ and they highlighted it light brown :o and it cost me nearly 200 I was soooo annoyed! And now I'm jst so desperate to get to this color but I'm to afraid to bleach it myself incase I ruin it haha

Well we all take risks right? My mim was a professional at one time. Shes the one who helps me with my hair now. Thats why I suggested the Neutral Protein Filler. Those help in the long run since I use it before and after I bleach my hair :) what is the highest vol you can buy without being a licensed professional?

When you do start bleaching your hair from a dark colour it does all the things you described, it take hell of a work, I went from dark red to silver about two weeks ago and it took me about..5 bleaches? You have to get it extremely light in order to go in with a grey ish colour the same if you go for white which I did some years ago, because f you have any yellow colour left it'll be hard to cover, at least for me. Now the purple shampoo or conditioner is needed in order to give it the cold undertone. I used Schwarzkopf's silver blonde and they have an amazing conditioner in the package which I use + a purple shampoo. Now I don't mind it to be a little purple but for you who won't it to, then make sure not to let it stay too long in your hair and try to water it out a little longer. All in all it's all about finding the right routine and knowing how many minutes you need this and that in order to get the wanted result. But don't dear for the orange, and all those things, it's the problem in bleaching but it can be helped, it just takes as said a hell of work.

Marne M; I'm not sure about the highest vol, but you can buy some damn high vol. Manic Panic's bleach is pretty high.

Do you guys think if I tone my hair with conditioner and a tiny bit of the purple stuff I have will work?

Robyn M.

Do ye think if I make my own toner with conditioner and a small bit of the purple stuff I have would work and take out the yellowness?

Feb 22, 2013

Marne M.

I tried the conditioner toner, its not working like Michael says it does cause his hair was bleached with liquid bleach called blondor. I mean you can try it but it doesn't work on my hair.

@Camilia B. I heard their bleach works great. But I buy like a huge tub from Loreal. My quick blue tub was an early xmas gift from a friend with the 50 vol. 40 vol does work because it recommends it on the containers. They say to use 20 most the time. Sadly, I am completely out of 50 vol so I'm using 10 vol for my bleach. I have so many patches of white in my hair I'm not use to it. And as for purple shampoo and conditioner, they are all expensive. It drives me up the wall. Thats why I buy Punky Colour's Platinum Toner (similar to Directions wonderful conditioning toner) and apply it to my hair. Virgin Snow only lasted a week on my hair back when I did platinum roots only. It sucked lol.

Conditioner toner doesn't work that well. Do you want yellow out then bleach it(I saw higher up you said you was afraid of ruining your hair, but find a great conditioner and treat your hair well and it'll be fine) now the toner conditioner/ purple conditioner is what you can use after bleaching to keep the yellow away. But to bleach will it not help. Unfortunately.

Marne M; yeah Manic Panic's bleach should be super great, I haven't tried it but my mom used it on her husbands son and it worked super well! The 50 vol bleach you use sounds great though! I normally use Garnier's highest bleach which I'm normally satisfied with ^^
You're so right virgin snow was a fail for me too, I kept it a long time though cos when it was in I loved it and I was obsessed with white, but one bath and it was almost all gone. I hope they'll improve it, cos some of their colours are super great and long lasting.

Thanks :) do you know any good treatments for my hair its suoer damAged haha.

I've heard sleeping with coconut oil is good for your hair and then washing it out in the morning, I haven't tried it yet.

Feb 22, 2013

Marne M.

@Camila B. Yeah they need to improve Manic Panic dyes a bit. Have you used Directions at all? I heard it works great. And unsure how amplified manic panic works. Too expensive for me :c and I didn't know Garnier had bleach. Man, where the heck have I been lol.

Feb 22, 2013

Marne M.

@Shay K. I use Punky Colour and Special Effects. I just prefer em. :) I don't use red anymore cause its a pain to remove the color.

Use directions white toner, it'll get rid of the yellow x

Feb 22, 2013

Camila B.

Unfortunately I'm not too sure about which conditioner is good, I use one which only are available in my country. But search after hair mask, they're normally a Bit more effective when your hair is very damaged ^^

Feb 22, 2013

Camila B.

Marne M; yeah, their amplified are better though, the purple haze and vampire red is the best I've tried so far! Oh and the blue. The neon colours fades out almost just by looking at them. So yeah some needs to be improved, and you're right they are expensive.
I haven't used Directions no, haven't heard of it before actually.
Haha, well they do ;3.

Any stylest can get your hair the ash color you want it but if your trying to lift more then 7 colors its the condition of your that their worry about going from and dark color or even orange to a ash takes time and steps this is not something to be rushed. I'd say give it a bleach to a few shades lighter then use a wella t18 toner. Slowly but surely this will
Work!

Don't use ash colored hair dye. ash colors are some what grey.
