I'm a noob at make up and I'm 21!

Here's a pic of me using Sephora's "Smoky Studio 2" pallet in orange and dark green, however the colors don't seem to take on my skin. The orange looked nice and bright but sort of absorbed into my skin in no time. What can I do to get bright colors?

Thanks!!

Well I have the same problem. lol. But I tried using primer and that helped show the colors a bit. :)

To make my colors pop I get my brush wet and then apply the shadow.

If you're not already, make sure you're using a primer. On top of your primer you can also use a white cream pencil, like NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk or any white eyeliner pencil. This forms a good base to make colors pop.
