Don't pull against the natural direction of the hair, pull with it and gently at first until used to it. If you find it is to much make sure you are only grabbing on hair at a time

I have never done it my self, I have had mine done but I do know that it doesn't really hurt, its quick so the little bit of pain only lasts for a second.

It doesn't hurt that bad but I actually prefer waxing because its faster and less painful.

It does, but over time less and less. Start small :)
And putting a warm damp cloth over the area before you pluck helps! Also after you just get out of the shower, since you're pores are open, it hurts less :)
Those two things have helped me :)

If I were you I'd get it done by a professional first that way you know how it should look and you don't over-pluck.

It doesn't hurt that bad but I prefer just getting it done somewhere because its faster and hurts less. But if you are then you could ice it first so it won't hurt so bad.

It does hurt but it gets better :) I wouldn't wax or shave them though because your eyebrows will grow in thicker :( but plucking works well

Well I have done it a couple times if you do it fast it won't hurt as much but it depends on the person that is getting plucked.

I prefer waxing which sometimes still requires a little plucking, it doesn't hurt; it's more of an annoying sensation if that makes sense lol!!

It does hurt but you get used to it. You should really go to the salon and get them shaped first though. Waxing is way easier and quicker and over time the hair will become thinner. It's a myth that shaving the hair makes it thicker though. It just appears thicker at first until the stubble grows out. A real reason not to shave your eyebrows: painful red bumps and ingrown hairs.

Don't pluck them please trust me go get them threaded it hurts a lil bit just as much as plucking but much quicker and it makes your eyebrows so pretty. I just got mine done for the first time now I never wanna pluck again I've had them waxed before but I prefer threading over anything.

You should get threaded! it hurts but its worth it, since it doesn't tug your skin the way waxing does. its quicker & more effective than plucking.

Plucking hurts me like crazy! But I have really thick eye brows and it's like the roots to my hairs are super set! Haha so I get them waxed, it's probably better to have a professional do the initial shape so you don't go over board! And with eye brows a little goes a long way! Be careful it's so easy to over pluck!

Like most said, it does hurt. But the pain does subside once you're used to it.
It's best to pluck when you just finished showering as your pores are open. Pluck in the same direction as the hair grows that will remove the whole hair.
I prefer plucking as I can shape it to my liking. Anyways, go slow and don't pluck too much. Step back and look. And remember, it's hair so it will grow back.

Sorry but threading is extremely annoying and painful waxing is quicker and more effective because it gets the hair to its roots but if you want to stay at home and do your eyebrows plucking is the best option.

It depends on your pain tolerance really.. You just have to get used to it. I pluck mine allll the time because I'm so used to it, I started when I was in 7th grade and it used to hurt but now its like nothing, but my eyes still do water sometimes and I also sneeze occasionaly.

Hurts quite abit but if you put Vaseline on before you do it really reduces the pain (not sure why but it works) totally random but plucking my eyebrows makes me sneeze, anyone else get that? haha.

It really isnt that bad. Just a pinch, but you get used to it so quickly. Unfortunately it isnt like shaving (which is completely painless). It hurts a tiny bit, but as I said, you get used to it.

Only the first time but after that you get use to it.
