I've heard pretty bad things about them in the long run if you have teeth that would. need braces but if its just for cosmetic resons and not overly crooked teeth then its ment to be fine. like just to straighten a couple of teeth there good (:

Yeah if your teeth are too bad you need braces and invisalign would just make it worse. but if they arent too bad invisalign is good but you have to wear it as much as they say to and you will probably have it for a really long time.

Can you take the Invisalign braces out?!

Invisalign is like a retainer or dentures. you put it around your teeth in a way.

Yeah you have to take them out when you eat and brush your teeth, if your under 18 you don't have to pay the huge amount they cost, but if you are be ready to have a good sum of money to spare!

I've had them since December. My orthodontist recommended them to me because all I need to fix is my gap in my front teeth and two overlapping teeth on the bottom. They're more expensive then braces but he told me that they would work better. First off, I kid you not, they HURT LIKE CRAZY. Like, imagine getting punched in the teeth. I missed three days of school it hurt so bad. Pain relievers will be your best friend for a while. And you have to change your invisalign every two weeks, so the pain doesn't go away like normal braces. It comes back twice a month for about 3-5 days. Its hell. Your teeth are throbbing and sore and sensitive to pretty much everything. It hurts to chew anything, and so I really don't eat when that happens. Its actually made me lose 15 pounds since I got them because its so painful to eat, I pretty much just avoid it. And you have to deal with it for two years (or however long yours will take, may not be as long.)
The good thing about them is you don't have to give up any food like you do with braces. (yay popcorn!)
But the bummer is you can't eat with them in, and so you have to take them out whenever you're hungry, and they're so tight on your teeth, its SO HARD to take them out. And it hurts too (go figure.)
They're not all that bad though...they work great. After only a few months my teeth look great. And even though my gap is still there, you can't tell I even have one when I'm wearing invisilign. (I'll post a picture) and they make your teeth look whiter.
So if you're willing to put up with pain (and I mean ALOT of pain), invisilign is okay. Here's a pic with them in, this is my teeth after only a few months, you can't even see me gap!
