Cuticles are the skin around the bottom of your nail they help protect your nails and if cared for properly help them grow.

Some people have thick cuticles and some people have really thin or so small you can't really see it.

Healthy cuticles are kept moisturized. A great product is Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream. Doing things like washing dishes often dries them out and bad cuticles not only look terrible but can hurt if you pick at them and try to remove them improperly. A manicure can not look good with bad cuticles lol.

Well as I found out what cuticles actually are, mine are quite thick anr bad. @Dorothy, my native language is Slovene. (As I'm from Slovenia) Thats in Europe.
