I have questions regarding the dark brown to red Ombre hair look. My hair is already dyed a bright medium red and I think it would be pointless to dye my whole head a dark brown just to dye the tips red again. So does anyone have any tips on just dying the top half dark brown to get it to look Ombre? attached is a picture of my hair noww.

Protect the parts that you don't want to color by covering them in a heavy conditioner or vaseline. Use a brush to apply brown to the top.
