Baby oil is man made so it just sits on top of the skin..use sweet almond oil..or good old olive oil...all natural! I used sweet almond oil while pregnant and had lovely skin and not a stretch mark to be seen then was told to use olive oil on my baby boy and it was amazing..and not a chemical in it!!

Baby oil is synthetic hence not good for your body even if it makes it feel good. I use mix of extra virgin olive oil, e vitamin oil and carrot oil. It has worked wondera on my dry arma and legs. Pluse carrot gives a hint of tan due to beta caroteen in it. My back has no more acne on it and my skin is much more tight, no hanging, sagging. Amazing.

I agree with noelle but I think its true of any oil. If your.concerned about synthetic oil then try another kind of oil.

Baby oil has a lot of chemicals and mineral oil in it which isn't good for your skin. use a natural oil like olive, coconut, almond etc.
we have naturally dry skin in this family and baby oil only makes my baby's skin worse. she gets dry and flaky. everywhere.

Baby oil has many benefits.. I find having a bath with a little bit of the oil to work great on my skin. I naturally have dry skin on my face and after I wash my face I apply a little bit of the baby oil on while my face is still wet than towel dry it by lightly patting it off as opposed to rubbing. Don't use it daily for your skin will become dependent on it.. Moderation is key. Also if you are going to try out other creams and oils AVOID the ones that have vitamin E in them for they can cause you to grow thick unwanted facial/body hair! I saw a comment posted earlier of someone suggesting to use something with vitamin E so I thought I should warn you..

I add baby oil to my bath water, at least once or twice a week. I no longer have dry skin or problems with eczema. I also get regular compliments on how soft my skin feels. Also, I noticed girls mentioning about the scent, the smell of a baby is not in the least bit revolting.

Baby oil if used in excess will cause breakouts but if you use it when you are still wet like one of the girls suggested it basically prevents moisture from leaving your skin hence giving you the appearance of nice moisturised skin. it kinda creates a barrier that water can't pass. you just don't want to do it too often. try getting some argan oil and mixing that in with your daily lotion. you will be amazed at the difference. coconut oil and olive oil really arent as great as people think. they can cause comedogenic breakouts that look like clusters of small zits along your cheekbone usually. since your skin is so dry, its balance is off so try using mild soaps for a bit so your skin can try and get back on track. don't do anything drastic, just keep trying to moisturize with a good quality thicker lotion like eucerin intensive therapy.

Baby oil can be awful & dangerous! When my son was 2-4 months old, my sil put J&J baby oil on his face. By doing that, she caused him to receive 2nd degree contact burns! His whole face, every.single.inch blistered & peeled. He had to take baby pain meds (oxycodone) for 3 days and have cortisone cream applied 3x's daily. If baby oil works for you, then that's great, but because of what it is made from, caution does need to be used when using it. Vaseline & Baby oil can also clog your pores, causing more problems. For me personally, I'd stick with the Olive, Sesame seed & Coconut oils. Yall have a great day!  😊

I used it on myself and my twins when they were babies but as I've grown and become more aware of what is in all products I've become more of a naturalist. Baby oil is a by-product of petroleum and acts as a sheet of plastic on the skin. That can be problematic because the skin cannot breathe. Natural oils are the best. Using straight up olive oil, coconut oil or almond oil. Any type of fruit or nut oil that is 100% natural. Applying any oil to skin is best on wet skin. If you prefer lotion there are plenty of all natural and organic vegetable based products out there. Everyone should remember the best way to start skin care is with your diet. Drinking plenty of water is essential and eating foods rich in antioxidants and also add water such as watermelon are a good place to start. Ty to cut back on things that suck the moisture from you such as salt and caffeine. Next, you want a soap that cleanses but doesn't strip all of your natural oils then you will need less moisturizing. I love Burt's Bee's, Bee's Essential, and Dr. Bronner's Magic Pure Castille Soaps. Right now I'm going through hormonal changes that have made my skin more dry so I am using different all natural organic product to find the right mix for my changing skin and I've been using glycerine soap. I hope all this info helps.
