A little sparkle maybe sequins or jewels around the neckline or bottom of the dress slowly creeping up, use dark colours and it should look great!

I have a dress almost identical to that! It's the pleats...tighten for a sexier look, or iron/straighten to give more solid form. I'll take a pic of mine in daylight so you have something to go by. It's very cute! Great job! Mine doesn't have buttons though.
