Clear Or Nude?

Went to the drugstore for nude lip liner and couldn't find the shade I was hoping for and then found a clear lip liner. I bought it and tried it out but it seemed kind of pointless. Which do you prefer and why?

I like clear lip liners to create a border around my lips as a barrier for lip gloss or nude lipsticks with out color. I really like the Too Face Clear Lip Liner!

It's maybelline. There was only one and it was in with the pink liners. Didn't see any others anywhere.

I personally would go for clear. I don't wear nude lipstick so getting a nude lip liner for any other color would be weird to me. I only use lip liner to keep lipstick from smudging under my lip, I don't need the color so a clear one would be perfect for my needs. I wish I'd seen a clear one the other day when I was actually buying lipliner! But I was lucky to find a color that matched pretty well so I guess it doesn't matter lol
