Ok I hate showing my legs! simply because whenever I shave them, the hair will grow back literally overnight, and they will be prickly the next day! I use baby oil gel but its not really working.
Does anyone have any tips on shaving thats inexpensive?

It sounds like shaving doesn't work for you.
You might have to resort to waxing (even though it is expensive) or like Alex said hair removal cream which isn't always that pricey.

Personally I hate hair removal products, and if you suffer or are prone to ingrown hairs...Nair just burns your skin and it seems like it freakin seals your pores or something. Uck I would rather have hairy legs than ever use hair removal awful acid paste ever again. Wax Wax Wax, if you just practice doing it your self at home, it really isn't that expensive.

Waxing also has helped my stupid little dots look less noticeable also. LOL. :-)

I would recommend you an epilator. You can get them at target I'm pretty sure. They look like men's electric razors but instead of blades it has a bunch of tiny tweezers that pull your hairs out. Yes it will hurt, but just like waxing you will get used to it. It pulls the hair out from the root, so you won't have the folical issue. It should keep your legs hair free for about as long as waxing as well, but you'll only need to purchase it once. I've never tried one, but I've heard amazing things about them.

Nair is bad for your skin. it has the same chemicals in it to perm your hair. what will happen if you leave a perm on to long your hair will damage or fall out. well your leaving that product on your skin long enough for it to burn off. bad stuff.
