So I really want to start wearing heels and I want to know techniques on how to walk in them comfortably and not falling on my ass or anything.

Just practise I think thats the only thing you can do just wear them around the house and get use to walking in them (:

Heel toe, heel toe, heel toe! Dont put too much weight on the heel. The better quality heels the more comfortable. When practicing walking do it on hard surfaces not carpet.

Make sure you keep your ankles straight, wobbly ankles is the quickest way to fall. And it's probably easiest to start with smaller height or thicker heels so you can get used to the coordination before going to stilettos. :)

I guess it's just practice practice practice. Don't start in ridiculous 6" tall stilettos. Take it slow as you add height. Like a short heel or a wedge. Then work your way to thinner taller heels. I find wedges best cuz there's more to balance on. As far as techniques go maybe try walking in a straight line when you get a new pair to gauge how hard it is to balance in them. Take smaller steps; you're not in running shoes. And when going up stairs always hold the hand rail. Trust me I've hade my fair share of falls. Also get a good scuff on the bottom of your shoes. If they're slick on the bottom you're more likely to slide around and fall.
