Polytar is a shampoo that the doctor gave me to use not sure if you can buy it..I suffer from dandruff too and found oiling your hair doesn't help in the long term but this may sound weird but using body exfoliaters like body scrubs on the area once a week seemed to help me not sure if you can use it on your scalp but personally worked for me hope this helps

This is kinda random and a bit disgusting but before you go to bed put olive oil all over your scalp and massage it in then put an old pillow case on you pillow and go to bed with it on then wash it the next morning :)
