Take I piece of hair put it through the straightener as you were ab to straighten it clap down and wrap the hair around the straightener then completely flip the straightener hold the hair coming out and slow pull the straightener down till the end catch the curl before it falls and twirl it and whala if any of that even made sense ha good luck!

Actually it works waaay better if you roll your hair into a loop like a 'pin curl' and you press it in the straightener for about 20 seconds, and let it cool for a minute, pull it loose and there's a nice loose curl! (if they start off to tight just press less or don't let them cool/you can also make bigger loops, so you have a lot of control) there's tons of youtube videos on pin curling with a straightener :)

Just wrap it like a curling wand. Short and simple :)
