I have been having severe skin problems lately. Dry skin & acne so bad. I feel like I have tried everything. I spent almost $200 on a clarasonic and that seemed to be working well at first (I used it twice a day then went down to once a day). but then it seemed to stop helping. Then just recently a friend recommended the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Kit. I liked it at first but then it became SO drying on my skin (my skin actually started peeling) and it just plain stung when I a
used it. I have been breaking out worse lately then I did in high school (I'm 22). it is so disheartening. I have combination skin and I am will to spend any amount of money as long as something works.
Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Kitty

Sometimes breakouts can be because of stress or the things you eat like foods with a lot of sugar, think about if you have been eating more sweets lately or have been stressed(relax:))

Try neutrogena rapid clear. I'm in the exact same position and its been helping me out! Just make sure you get as many products and you can afford because they all work really well together. I use the face wash, astringent, lotion, and gel. It can be a little drying if you don't use the lotion right after you wash your face. But it's been working for me!

Hey :), I got a severe case last year, and it got very bad. Like you I frantically tried just about anything & everything. (Also I am a newly licensed Esthetician so it was not cute at all.) The Best thing you can do is go to your dermatologist ASAP. Before anymore damage can be done. And it will save you the money you will risk to spend on "potential" fixes. They will most likely give you a topical cream ( in my case Epiduo) and an antibiotic pill. They might make you a little sensitive so be sure to stay out of the sun and wear a light weight moisturizer with spf. Garnier products worked Very good for my dryness, are rich, lightweight, and they have Vitamin C, so it helps heal scars while you moisturize. REALLY good tips are change your pillow case like a madman! ALOT of water. It is no myth. It really makes a difference. And is great for you in general. A good diet will only aid in your recovery. Cut back greatly on Dairy, Greasy foods. Flour as well. Like white breads. Hope this helps!!

I had reeeeally bad breakouts, and nothing worked for me. Tried proactive and all that stuff. But I brought it up to my doctor and she was able to give me a prescription. It's kinda pricy, but if you have insurance, it covers it. I guarantee it'll get rid of your breakouts. You use it twice a day for a while, then once your breakouts go away, just once a day works. It does dry your skin out at first but if you use a good moisturizer it works. Hope I helped! (:

Have you tried Proactiv? I used it when I was younger and it worked for me! I'm 22 now and I still have acne. I don't use Proactiv because I can't commit to the monthly bill. But it worked amazing! Try it out! I hope this helps. :)

I've definetly been dieting right and exercising cuz I am trying to lose weight currently as well. BUT I do think that I don't drink enough water so I will be trying that!
I've never tried neutrogena products but I'm really interested in trying something completely new.
I'm going to try and find a (cheap) dermatoligist cuz my sister who is around the same age went to one and age said it helped but she stopped taking the medication.
I've always been interested in proactiv but how much is the monthly bill?
