Critique my makeup?

I recently decided I should learn how to apply makeup, and it is not coming easy to me at all. I've done maybe 20 practice sessions and today was the first time I was able to apply eyeliner without it looking so horrible it had to be removed, if that gives you any indication of how slow I am at picking this up.

If you could take the time to look at my picture and let me know how to improve I would really, really appreciate it!

This photo was taken in even, natural light. I can see already (and could see at the time of application) that one side has more blush than the other, and that there is too much blush overall on both sides. I couldn't figure out a way to blend it out...no matter how much I went over it with the brush it didn't seem to make any difference.

I think it looks great! I love the eyeshadow colors. And the blush to me looks fine.
