If you put it on correctly it can warm up your face. Also, if you compare you face to your shoulder, it is really common for the shoulder to be darker than your face. There are two ways to apply it that I know of. The first is as a contor. You apply it like the shape of a three on your face: temple, under the cheek bone, and under the jaw. This creates a slight shadow on the face making appear less round. The second way of applying is as a bronzer: apply it anywhere the sun would hit your face: forehead, top of the cheekbone, nose, and chin. This makes the face appear "sun kissed." If you apply bronzer all over the face you will look like your attacked by the sun lol. You can look up goss makeup artist and he talks about the dos and donts of bronzing.
