I have very dry hair lately and have looked into the no 'poo method, where you only use conditioner on your hair and shampoo only when really necessary.
Today is my first day of trial and my hair is very soft and frizz free :) So far so good!
Has anyone else tried the no shampoo method?

My hair would be horribly greasy. If your hair is dry, just don't wash it everyday. That's really bad for it. Don't blowdry it either. I put Paul Mitchell leave in conditioner and Chi silk infusion in my hair. You should check them out.

I use both! Still awful, I had an allergic reaction to dye about a month ago and my hair just can't seem to recover from it! I thought trying this and using less heat is worth a shot the worst that could happen is I just have to wash my hair again!

I only shampoo 1-2 times a week. My hair is naturally black but I've bleached it many times and dyed it pink. Though my hair's still dryer than before, conditioning it everyday instead of shampooing keeps it relatively soft and silky. Have you tried the L'Oreal Evercreme Cleansing Conditioner? It works well for my damaged hair.

I've done the baking soda/water method and cider vinegar/water for conditioner. It works well but if you have soft water it's very hard to get the baking soda out.

I've done the 'No shampoo challenge!' I have very dry frizzy hair, and I guess it helps a bit. I wash my hair every second day and sometimes use shampoo- Shhh :)

I use shampoo every 3 days. and when I do I Also deep condition it for 5 to 10 minutes and let it air dry. if I have to wash my hair in between I just use conditioner. Also the less you wash your hair the less oil your hair will produce. it takes a week for my hair to get oily now instead of 2 days.

Well 9 hours later and my hair feels great but looks awful, it looks so dirty, worse than before it was washed! I have officially decided against that method, perhaps a hot oil treatment will help?

I did it for a month and my hair turned out amazing! Would definitely do it again.
