It's not often I use caps but I need some serious help from ladies who KNOW what they're doing.
I have sort of a golden blond color (in pictures) and my roots were beginning to grow out so I picked up a golden blond dye to lighten it all up...well I know I have natural orangey tones in my hair but somehow golden blond dye has turned my hair an orangey dirty blond and while it isn't a horrible color it isn't at all what I wanted D:
Is there anything I can do? I don't dye my hair often and I have plenty of deep conditioners, would using a lightening spray like sun in help? Or dying it a couple shades lighter after doing a deep conditioning treatment?
I've had my hair turn out a little orangey before but it went away, my concern is that it's more orange than I've ever seen it... Please help >.<

I used to have a dirty blonde color and in the summer I used sun in, it brings out natural highlights and undertones so if your trying to get a lighter natural looking color try sun in!

Buy an ash blonde and put it on your roots/orange parts but leave it only for 10 minutes wash it off and see what it's like and then keep repeating it until its back, this is what I did when this happened to me it just tones down the orangeness :)

Have you tried a blue toner?

@Carey, I've used sun-in before but does anyone know if its' safe after dye? I would give my hair a bit of time to recover from the dye before I try it but I'd prefer to have it looking right before...say...not this monday coming up but the next. Important date.
@Phoebe will have to look into that, depending on how orange it actually is after a day or two, I'm done freaking out for now 'cause I remembered the orange fades a bit naturally
@Kimberly Have not, wouldn't it turn my hair blue though?

@Lauren even in my old dyed hair Sun-in always made my hair more yellowy, that's how I got the blond you see in my pictures, I've never had issues with it turning it orange.

I have had that same exact problem a few years ago. I would honestly just go into Sally's salon if you have one near you, and just ask them what to do. They have helped me in the past and it's super cheap! Good luck, I know how that feels 😮😬😟

The blue toner will cancel out the orange tones in your hair. Toners are not hair dyes, your hair won't be blue.
