I put my foundation on let it sit then I put on powder. Throughout the day it seems to stay on for 5 hours then it slowly wears off and looks like I have nothing on at all. How can I make my foundation and powder stay on for awhile without using very expensive products?? Help help help!!

Make sure you are wearing a long wear foundation. The best one I have experience with Estée Lauder double wear. They advertise an 8 hour wear but I swear it'll last all day if you use it properly and don't expect it to last through a work out or something.
It retails for $36.50. I'm not sure if that is to much.
I know a lot of people like the wearability of the long wear revlon.
Also a fix spray. Mac and Urban decay have good ones.

Use a primer! I currently use e.l.f's mineral infused serum primer and let it dry completely before applying foundation and I always finish with model in a bottle setting spray- but you can use hairspray even if you don't have sensitive skin! I use hairspray on my chest and body if I have any type of bronzer or self tanner/sparkles on. Also you can use hairspray on the inside of your clothes to keep your make up off of it too, it's really universal! Just make sure it's a light hold aerosol kind if you're going to do that. Elf has a pretty cheap setting spray too that does work- and is $3 but it smells terrible, literally like dirty gym socks lol! Another thing that will help is to apply your powder when your foundation is somewhat wet still and stipple the powder on your face to work it in, don't just rub it around, or use the sponge it comes with- you'll have longer lasting results using a brush and patting it into your skin!

I use Urban Decays all nighter setting spray. I love it! It works wonders. ❤
