My boyfriend and I usually put coconut oil in our hair for about 1 to 2 hours. After we're done, we wash our hair and the coconut oil comes right out of his hair while I have to wash my hair two times to get it all out. I would really like to know why this happens and how I can prevent it. Thanks!

This happens all the time as well. So I'm not shocked; just really frustrated and jealous! haha

My boyfriends hair is thin, sort of straight and soft.
I have thick, wavy, and coarse hair.
As you can tell I use a lot of heating tools and he doesn't.

Your hair probably absorbs it more and since you use a lot of heating products your hair likes this nourishment from the oils and takes it longer to wash out because it's absorbing it fully.
