I've wanted to get one for so long but I'm scared about the pain lol. Does it really hurt that much? And I know it takes a very long time to heal. Do you think it's worth it?

I've gotten mine done 3 times and I'm 18. If you have a reason you can't keep the piercing open for as long as it needs sports, work, etc.) , then don't get it. If you can be patient throughout the healing process, go for it. The pain is no worse than a regular ear piercing.

I asked some time ago about complications with it, because I myself have wanted one for a long time, and those who answered me all said its worth it, but again that's only you who can choose that. The healing should be hell yeah, but again if you want it enough then it shouldn't be a problem. but I'm nervous for it myself =b.

Thanks guys! Yeah I don't deal with pain that well, lol. I only have my first holes done in my ears. Does it get infected easily? I have sensitive skin and I had gotten second holes done in my ears and they got infected so I'm kind of scared to get it done.

For some reason getting my industrial bar was SO painful. It healed perfectly but when I look at it, it sometimes looks like it wasn't pierced deep enough if that makes sense. But it's been 3 years and I've had no complications with it, so I definitely say it was worth it. I'm happy with it. :) Like Kylie W said, if you're patient enough to go through the healing process and all, then go for it!

If you're scared for infection then I recommend you to talk with the piercer first and tell about the fact that you're sensitive and seek advice. That will hopefully help you =)

My industrial hurt I'm not going to lie however it never got infected or anything like that. I love the piercing it looks great on everyone, but mine did take a while to heal

Mine got infected and took forever to heal. I wouldn't do it again.

Well all these comments are kind of making me not want to get one lol. @Cassandra yeah it will definitely bleed off and on for a while. I know people that just got one piercing in their cartilage and it bleeds every now and then for a long time.

I've had my industrial for 7 years & I didn't mind the "pain" at all. You experience a stick in your ear for a few seconds out of many years of enjoying your new accessory! It took mine 1 year to fully heal, but it's been my favorite piercing (:

I have both mine done. The initial pain was more than most of my 21 piercings (mind you I only have 2 in each ear and none on my face) what I did was pierce one side first then when the pain went away and I could sleep on that side I did the other one.
