The girls at my school are so judge mental and I don't know what to wear and I don't know what to wear because I'm woried everyone will make fun of me because my parents aren't rich and I don't wear name brand clothes everyday like them I normally wear clothes from WalMart or KMart.

You can definitely save money by getting your basics (shorts, plain tees etc) at places like Walmart/KMart, and then get your more trendy clothing the mall/department stores. Get ideas by looking at the manikins or ask a sales rep...and just for the record, clearance shopping is a lifesaver as well as a pennysaver!

Girl, money does not dictate style-have no fear!

Honestly... thrift stores are AMAZING and so many trends are drawn from "vintage" items that you would find there! Forever 21 is a pretty good and affordable place. Maybe even if you can't afford to buy all of your clothing there, you can get your accessories or some big trendy pieces of clothing from there to supplement your other clothes! KMart ad Walmart are fine, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Get your basics from KMart and Walmart, get some cool clothes and accessories from thrift stores and Forever21, and shop sales at the end of each season! There is also a shop called "Plato's Closet," which sells "used" clothing from a lot of popular brands! A lot of the things are on sale for super cheap and still have tags on them... you can definitely get a lot of the clothes your classmates have from there if you have one in your area. It may take a little extra work on your part, but just look at trends in magazines or on your classmates and try to replicate the outfits by picking similar items out at other stores... It is possible! You can definitely look cool on a budget...but above all, you should not care what people think! Especially if they're making fun of you because of your financial situation and not wearing "name brands," they are obviously ignorant and cruel.

I used to worry so much as well when I was at school about special days we could wear our own clothes (in the UK we have to wear uniforms!!) I'm 24 now and can't believe I worried about it so much. Wear what you want and be comfortable with what you have. If they're judgemental they will get nowhere in life. Don't do it to please them :) its only material things and doesn't define you as a person :)

I think your clothes do define you as a person but not as how others see you, but how you see yourself and use your style to express yourself. That doesn't mean hating yourself for not wearing name brand clothing because then we'd all hate models and celebrities (ok maybe we do a bit) but for example when I'm feeling like I need a pick me up I'll wear a dress and heels, if I feel badass another day I'll wear ripped jeans and motorcycle boots. Forget what everyone is wearing and figure out what you feel best in. And I agree on thrift store shopping. Which if you're still hung up on namebrand items, second hand stores have TONS if you're willing to hunt for them. I got Silvers and Mavis for 8 bucks. Genius!
