Hi ladies,
So after way too many manicures where the tech was over ambitious with the cuticle trimmers I'm struggling with torn, dry and thick (regrowth) cuticles. I Rock climb and usually have chalk on my hands for a good 1-2 hrs, 3/4 times a week. The dryness combined with all the force I put on my hands has caused My cuticles to start ripping badly, and no amount of lotion or cuticle butter helps. I'm trying to let my cuticles grow back in hopes they'll act as a natural barrier and stop the tearing. But,what I'm finding is that they're sooo thick now that they're regrowing. Yuck! Any ideas on how to tame them WITHOUT reaching for the clippers again??

Put some Shea butter on your cuticles and get one of those night gloves (tjmaxx or Marshall's have them) and do that for a week. You will see a difference :)
